The JAG Story

Jacksonville Academy of Gymnastics was opened in 2010 by Amanda Montgomery-Garside and her husband, Troy Garside. Amanda competed for the University of Alabama gymnastics team from 2005-2009.  Troy played safety and A-Back for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets from 2004-2009.  Amanda graduated from the University of Alabama in December of 2009 with a major in Entrepreneurship and minors in Human Development and Nutrition. Troy graduated with a Civil Engineering degree in 2009.  After getting married in June 2010 they decided to pursue their dream of opening a gymnastics and fitness facility.  They were very blessed when everything came together and they were able to open JAG in November of 2010.  It has been a full family affair, as Amanda's mother and 2 sisters have been a huge part of the gym's growth and success.  Amanda and Troy, along with her family, work everyday to make sure they are offering a positive, family oriented gymnastics program, with the hopes of making a difference in the children who walk through their doors.
